Restoring natural habitats sometimes requires the use of adapted equipment such as lightweight machines capable of working in wet or steep areas. In the Walloon region, several companies have gradually converted to activities linked to the restoration of natural habitats as LIFE projects have progressed. Their expertise is now recognised and contributes to the quality of the work carried out.

To carry out the various restoration works, the project will endeavour to work with local contractors, thereby contributing to the local economy in the project area. The subcontractors will be chosen via calls for tender, and will include agricultural and forestry contractors, parks and gardens companies, construction firms, carpenters, earth-moving firms and horticulturalists, to name but a few.
