As a private owner, you are affected by this project !

Among the 450 hectares of natural environments to be restored, the project plans to acquire 110. Indeed, to protect a natural habitat, the strongest protection status it can obtain is that of a nature reserve, which explains this ambitious acquisition target.
Contrary to what you might think, nature reserves are not always existing havens of biodiversity, but sometimes come from unsuspected areas such as valley bottoms, woodland bottoms, parcels of spruce with no future value or marginal agricultural land. These are all places where, if properly restored, buried biodiversity could be rediscovered and new nature reserves created.
To achieve this objective, inventories will enable the project team to identify areas of potential interest, leading to canvassing activities. However, any proposals to sell land on a voluntary basis will also be considered.
