In addition to the private land that will be acquired as part of the project, many potential restoration sites will be located on public land. These sites will be able to benefit from restoration work and become nature reserves through agreements between the local authorities and the DNF.

In addition, LIFE AdennEislek is a great opportunity to set up awareness-raising partnerships with local authorities, in order to promote their natural heritage via educational panels at the entrance to the reserves, or via educational trails and modules. This is a great way of demonstrating to the public the importance of biodiversity, the Natura 2000 network and the various issues associated with it.
