As a farmer, you are concerned by the project !

As has already been done in several previous LIFE projects, the management of the restored meadows and grasslands will be entrusted to local farmers via agreements. In addition to the land restored from existing grassland, a large proportion of the habitats will come from sites where open environments had completely disappeared, such as former forestry cuttings or unwelcome softwood plantations in agricultural areas. This will enable some farmers to increase their farmland and their income. Indeed, thanks to the habitat restoration or recreation actions, farmers will benefit from agri-environmental premiums (MC4 for management of grasslands of high biological value) and Natura 2000 allowances, guaranteeing them the profitability of their work in sometimes marginal areas, and consequently the sustainability of the management.

While particular attention and priority will be given to young local farmers wishing to start up or take over an environmentally-friendly and sustainable farm, the management agreements will nevertheless be drawn up on the basis of calls for candidates, in order to give any farmer wishing to participate in the management of the nature reserves a chance.
